Schools' projects - ExploRE
For more than twenty years Bridge Builders Christian Trust has worked in partnership with primary school teachers, church leaders and many committed volunteers to provide a variety of opportunities for children living in Stevenage and the surrounding area to:
LEARN about the Christian faith and EXPLORE its relevance for Christians today
Our successful ExploRE project enables Bridge Builders to:
- deliver original, exciting, thought provoking assemblies on a regular basis
- Assist teachers to deliver Christian RE curriculum lessons
- facilitate and resource class visits to local churches for themed events such as The Christmas Journey and The Easter Journey.
The passion and aim of Bridge Builders through the ExploRE project, is to inspire church leaders and their congregations throughout the town of Stevenage to connect more effectively with the primary schools in their neighbourhood and for the primary school heads and teachers to recognise and utilise the wonderful wealth of resources the church building and church community can be to support their teaching of Christianity within the RE curriculum and during corporate acts of worship.

Lynne has been involved with Bridge Builders for a number of years. She joined the team two years ago to take charge of The Christmas and Easter Journeys. Before this Lynne was a Trustee and volunteer at The Christmas Journey. Many of you may also know here with her other 'hat' working at St Peter's Church. She is a cheerful and positive member of the team and we particularly appreciate her Anzac biscuits!
